To overcome your weakness is not all the way good.

Why do people climb mountains???? I don` t really understand why they do that.
I`ve been thinking, this is really like killing themselves. But I know, after climbing a mountain, when they get to the top, the feeling is like they achieved something. That`s why a lot of people are addicted to climbing mountain, because of that feeling even marathoners or fitness freaks.
However, the feeling of being able to achieve is really dangerous sometimes. The feeling usually pushes through injuries even though you recognized that you are going to get hurt.
Mentally and usually, if Athletes or sports people can find their weakness point, and every day, they are going to try to build up their skills for being perfect or self-esteem, because of that feeling.
Unfortunately we have to know if we push ourselves too much, we are going to have serious damage to our bodies.
From the today`s article, I felt really disagreeable. Because their life could get in danger, If you are enjoying exercise too much.
also I guess, Mattew Henson and Robert E had a lot of injuries from frostbite. because they really wanted to conquer the north pole. It can be part of 'addicted to being perfect'.
I don`t blame their courage and bold plan. Their achievement is really respectful.
But I want to say, to overcome your weakness is not always good. Especially fitness freak, perfectionist have to know, your body need to take time for a break.

Korean`s big bow

After finishing Cha-Lye, when it comes Korean`s new years, younger people bow to elder family, which is called "Se-Bae". Then, people have breakfast and visit neighbors to bow. If a person comes to your house to bow, then you are suppoed to serve liquor and food, but to the children instead of liquor you give them the New Year's gift of money(usaully called "Bow money") and rice cake or fruits.

Another meaning of the cha-lye is Ancestor-Memorial-Rites On New Year's Day, people hold a memorial service in the main floored room or big room, and it is called "Cha-Lye". Behind a sacrificial table, there is a folding screen set up and on the table all New Year foods should be set up. The way to set up foods depends on the region and family but mostly, fruits are on the front row(red one is on the east side and white one on the west). Vegetables should be on the second low, soup on third(fish-soup on east, meat-soup on west), fried foods on firth, and on the last row there should be rice.

These things are usually had on just new years. Big bow is, gathering your hands (for men left hand over) then, kneeling both of knees down to the floor slowly and then bending your back at the same time your head down to the floor with hands.

For women it is a little different, when women bow, they are going to kneel down just one leg and both of your hands on the ground, ultimately chin down.

However, in general, these things really take a lot of time, so, usually we are standing up and nice and easy bend back. Sometimes when we are really busy or rushing somewhere, we do just chin down or to someone who is just standoffish person, but for friends, we just shake hands in the air. And if you are older than someone who bowed to you, you don’t have to bow back to them. You can just shake hands in the air or just say “Hi”.

potty or party?

I`m 35 years old, and I`m an English teacher in America, but I`m Korean-American. I just got my American citizen a few months ago. Also, I`m as good at speaking English as any American.

That`s why I could get a job as an English teacher at school. I am teaching kids 5~7 years old.

Sometimes I love what they are giggling, sometimes I really don`t like to interrogate them about they`ve done because they are not good at listening. If I want them to listen well, I need to spell out very precisely and loudly. Also I need to ask them to speak very slowly, and if they are really fooling around, I have to make them pay attention very forceful way. It feels like to interrogate somebody.

One day, in the middle of class, one of my students came up to me and she asked me to go to the bathroom. “Can I go to potty?” my student said.

I was so pissed off that she asked, because I understood ’party’. “what???” and I stared at her. She got really scared, I said to her ‘no’. I think my voice tone was really angry, at that time.

She strode to back to her chair, and she started to sob.

“I`m sorry Briana can you ask me again??”. And she said ”Can I go to the bathroom?”

It was completely my fault, so I apologized gently about why I was angry. ”I`m so sorry Briana, you can go to bathroom”, and bygones be bygones”

After she went to the bathroom, she started to nod off. ‘Oh my god !’ I could`ve been mad, but it was so cute especially for little children. I need to have a spacious mind. If she was a grown woman, I couldn`t even think about that. Anyway I don’t have to get angry what they made a mistake.

how do I teach kids when I have my sons?

To teach something about something or to let them know what is right things or bad things are really difficult, also really important. so I`m going to introduce my situation, but i don`t know this is good thing or right thing.

In korea, in general, a lot of parents want thier kids to be respectful for everybody. so if their kids are rude somebody, parents get really mad also my mom and dad emphasized that a little force way everyday.

that`s why most of parents let them know how to bow to adults and elder. As a result, a lot of koreans are more kind and respectful than American young generation.

However we have to know, kids are really good at copying some body, especially their parents or from what kids have grown thier environment. As an example, if my parents were so rude, swearing a lot, then I might be alike them if I was grown man.

Therefore, parents attitude is really importnat. As I read today`s article at class time, I just thoght that what they are attitude.

Sometimes we can convince, scare or even hit them for right, when they are rude or wrong.

Also we can read some fables or show them directly what we have some good attitude.

Specifically atittude and mind set up of parents is really important to their children.

For this reason, we will try to show them positve pages, at least, we will have to try ourselves best in front of our children.

Im gonna have to bully you.

"Bully" sometimes really normal and anywhere you go, you can get bullied from other person, sometimes, you can bully somebody.

what does "bully" mean???As far as i know, bully means like teasing your friends, being a gansta and my dictionary says, a bully is someone who uses their strenght or power to heart or frighten other people.

I thought, everybody can have this situation. When I was a school student, I`ve seen a lot of bullying situation. I don`t know why my friend did that. Maybe I enjoyed that with my friends, especially for boy students is really harder than girl students.

one of my friend went to restroom and he sat on the stool. suddenly one of my other friend ran

in front of his stool, and he threw away a water bucket. Surely there was full of water and every body made big laughing and loud clapping.

now I can confess, that is really worng thingy. But why some students become a naughty boy?

some reason, usually kids have a lot of energy, so we should burn thier energy or make them exhusted, or parents didn`t tell them what they wrong.

That`s kind of funny thing, but when i was teenager, If some spoilt friends were very tired, they became really calm. I think, this is really good idea, if you met some spoilt kids like bullying a lot,

you should suggest them some sports activities or martial arts.

Why were the crew members instructed to be unfriendly to Jimmy? Couldn`t the same goal have been achieved if they had been very friendly to him? “Underwater Test”

In my opinion, if they treated him very friendly, Jimmy would be arrogant himself, but then I don’t know what Jimmy`s character. However through my experience, if some people slack too much at first time to work or as a fresh man soldier, it ill be hard for them to get used to lived in a competitive life anyway.

Technically the first training or first probation is a really important thing even if you graduated at the top of the class from school, as I read that article in my class time.

However, if the situation is really opposite with what Jimmy`s situation, he could pass the test under the their cover and psychologically he could get ready for whole of situation. That means , it can`t be a good evaluation.

As I read this article, it reminded me about helping people. Obviously this article tried to talk about helping something. But unfourtunately i couldn`t understand and imagine about what it`s talking about.because im not good at reading even korean articles. honestly, reading English is a little difficult even if the article has a lot of implications.

anyway it sounded like helping people is really important thing, and my teacher said about Haiti happened and donation something.

when i got here, i was a little surprised at donation culture. because most of American`s attitude is very nice and enjoyable. Meantime i was in America, i`ve seen a lot of donation party and fundraise places. but contrast with korea, there is not such a here.

I don`t know why, but, bottom line is we can not enjoyable. Maybe so many people are living in hectic life, so we don`t have really enough time to help them.

Our country was really poor after Korean war. at that time, we have had a lot of money supporting from another country. If they didn`t help out our country, we were same as Haiti.

Unfutunately, our generation forgot this situation and we justify to ourselves to avoid to help them.

Technically, it is time to help them even donating smelly shoes.

through this article, I felt that helping people is really important for global peace.

Just an ordinary......

One day Hodja went to the mill. While he was waiting for his turn, he kept on taking his handful, wheat from the other sacks and putting tehm into his.

When the miller noticed , what Hodja was doing, he got very mad and started screaming,

"what do you think you are doing?"

Hodja replied nochalantly "im an idiot, i do what ever comes to my mind"

"Really?? then why dont you take some from your own and put into other sacks", the man said angrily.

"but sir i am just ordinary idiot. If i did that i would be super idiot." Hodja said calmly.

As I read this story, I didn`t understand what they said, because i was trying to find some of

good lesson.

I think, this story is kind of funny stroy. I was trying find some lesson, but there was no

meaning of good thing or bad thing.

I just felt that, sometimes I need to be an idiot when I did bad thing to justify or con.

The Getaway. I wanna konw immediately, what`s going on.

I was very scared and , that old boy was trying to push the special botton for calling the police.

Unfortunately, he pushed the fire alarm button, so it was very noisy and we got into a panic.

However, the old man was very calm.

"Turn off the damn alarm!" , the tall one said and then he shot in the air.

I could hear his step, he was coming to me, and his gun was pointed at me.

I said "What do you want from me?"

The tall man showed me a picture, and asked me.

"Do you know who she is?" he yelled to me .

"I don`t know who she is, please let me go" I said.

when the tall man showed me that picture, he was very mad at me, because he recognized me.

I really didn`t want to belive this situation, but I could remember who she was, because he got

ready to torture me.

I said, "I met her yesterday at the club, What`s the problem with her?"

"I`m her husband and I have been keeping track of you."

I didn`t know she got married and I felt that betrayed by her.

Anyway he scared me, he told me to try not to meet her.

"I`m never gonna meet her again, please just let me go, I`m so sorry."

his pal said "Kock it off bro, let`s get of here, the fire fighters are comming"

I thought at that time, the police was really supposed to come, It was a little funny though.

anyway they got out of there. Thier purpose was to scare me.

Hi..... how have you been???

We haven`t met for a long time becasue, you have been having in a hectic life, but I`m ok.

Honestly I got a new woman. She is loving me much more than you did, and all she wants is to be

part of my plan.

Well honestly, These days, I have no stress, no fuss, no fight, because I have been with her.

A few years ago, when my dad got a new GPS, after he bought a car, he was very pissed off, because he didn`t like the touch screen.

Actually the touch screen was very slippery when he typed on it.

"Why is this screen slippery????" dad said,

"I have no idea dad, if you want to type well, you have to buy a touch pen to use only for the touch screen", I said.

At that time my dad really complained about it.

Also he said, "It`s really hard to reach my GPS, it is too far to touch and type", "This is really dangerous, while I was driving"

I could agree with him, because he din`t know how to use for brand new electronics.

Usually for elder people, it`s really hard to manage that.

One day, when I got in the car and sat next to him. He had a unsharpened pencil with eraser.

"Dad, what is this for?"

"This is for touching my GPS, and it makes it pretty much easier to type and reach"

"Dad, awesome!!!!!!!!!!”

I was really impressed from that time on, when he tried to type to touch screen, it was slippery

no more and no more short hands.

Now I`m using this pencil technique with my GPS.

As she was reading the note, she could expect that her husband killed himself.

She cried loudly and hollered at the air.

"oh my god, everything is, because of me, oh my god!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! "

Just today, she had lost her job and she just sold her car to take care of their children.

Unexpectedly her husband came out from her room.

He said, "why are you crying??"

She said, i read this note, what the hell happened!!!!

he said, "i was trying to write something , you know my job????"

she said, "oh~ damn it, you are really a bastard, i was so sad."

he said, "im sorry, im gonna publish my story as a writer, i wanted to make the circumstances seem real for the next story"

he didn`t kill himself, he just wanted to make some new reallity..........

CAN CAN

This story is kind of like boring life with his story.

One of her husband who is MR fix it , doesn`t like stay at home usually.

But his wife wanted him to stay at home because she had a lot of house work.

Anyway he left his home for hanging around but he had an another girl friend.

But tragically he was cheating with her but the girl friend knew what he had a

family.

I think to keep peace of family is really important and really difficult.

Because a lot of house working , caring children and so on even though they are

loving each other. I think, to understand each other is most important thing than loving each other.

To love is in the middle of date before getting married. And based on the loving we can keep understand each other.

I think, this story is telling about how I `m going to fall in love before getting married. If I got something careless, that is going go to war with my wife, also that is going to split up as a result I can think of a girl with dancing CAN CAN inevitably .

Good lesson.
